CAMPORALL COOK-OFF COOK BOOK
Everyone knows that Scouts & Scouters love to cook & eat the results. At our 2007 Three Fires Council Camporall, Scouts from all levels of  the program got the opportunity to show off their favorite recipes and  outdoor culinary skills at the Camporall Cook-off.

All entries into the Cook-off were accompanied by their recipes, which are  included in this book. They are listed under the three Cook-off categories – Main Courses, Side Dishes & Deserts – and have been credited  to each contestant’s unit number & district.

We hope you will enjoy trying these recipes & eating the results!Every effort has been made to correctly reproduce these recipes
as they were written, but the handwriting & interpretations  make for occasional inaccuracies.

On May 10, 2008 from 9am to 4pm, Three Fires Council will hold the Scouting event of the year - Scout-O-Rama! The theme for 2008’s Scout-O-Rama is “Scouting through History: A Century of Service.” This will be a great day of Scouting activities, and a chance to experience Cantigny Park, and many other attractions for half the regular admission price. The $4.00 Scout-O-Rama ticket also offers additional value with great coupon offers from Dick’s Sporting Goods, Burger King, Oberweis, and Colonial Café!

Every registered youth in the Three Fires Council is invited to sell $4.00 tickets to the event, and the unit gets to keep $1 for every ticket sold (so Scouts can earn money for summer camp or other activities). There are some valuable prizes that will be given out to individual Scouts, Packs and Troops; it’s also a great opportunity to have fun and compete for incredible prizes i.e. the highest seller of tickets will WIN a Nintendo Wii, Troops can WIN one of two $5,000 Gift Certificates to Gander Mountain, and Packs can win one $1,000.00 or $500.00 Campership.

Haunted Hike 2008 - “TRAIL OF GHOULS”.
Plans are underway for the 18th Annual Haunted Hike at Camp Big Timber.
Each year youth members of the Three Fires Council, Boy Scouts of America gather together at Big Timber
to create a spook-tacular 3/4 mile trail that will scare the b-geebers out of you.
For the faint of heart, we offer a not so scary Kiddie Hike on the second Saturday of the event.
The theme for this year’s hike is “TRAIL OF GHOULS”. Many members from last year’s committee,
along with several new committee members are already meeting to plan this year’s hike.
If your Troop, Crew or Post is interested in developing a scare scene, being trail guides or just want to be part of the
scariest Haunted Hike ever, we need you!! Please contact
Don Gatske – Head Ghoul or Jon Bruner - Trail Boss

SAVE THE DATE (Flier) and mark your calendars for the 2008 Haunted Hike
October 17 & 18 and October 24 & 25.
Our Kiddie Hike will be held on October 25 from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
