(For example: A Pack has 8 scouts going and can only cover the 1 parent/leader to 5 scouts ratio. In this case, 3 are not covered by the Adult ratios. With Unchaperoned Scouts - the 3 scouts can register as Unchaperoned and the camp will recruit one additional adult to maintain the BSA required 1:5 adult-camper ratio.) Only Scouts registered as "unchaperoned Cub Scout" during registration for Wolves, Bears and Webelos will be covered. The one parent/guardian to one Tiger still applies to all camp sessions.

Parent/Leader Ratio's for camp:

  • The one adult to five Cub Scouts still applies to the day camp session at Cantigny, Good Templar, Camp Big Timber and Plowman's Park and to Twilight, Overnight Cub Camp sessions and Webelos Resident Camp at Camp Freeland Leslie.
  • New Tiger Cubs must have a parent or guardian present each day. Both individual and unit registrations will be accepted. If an individual registers,  they will be either integrated into their group or  a new group will be formed, depending on attendance, size, etc.
  • If your Unit allows parents to register inidvidually, camps will make every effort to place the Scout with other Scouts in his Unit.  If there are no other scouts registered from his Unit- the Scout will be added to an existing group or a new group will be formed depending on attendance at the Camp Director's discretion.
