BSA Reconnect

BSA Alumni Connection www.bsaalumni.org  (Aug. 2008 – Dec. 2010)
The BSA Alumni Connection is a call to reconnect alumni with Scouting friends, mentors, and local councils across the country; rekindle enthusiasm for Scouting and the values it represents; and encourage them to re-engage with Scouting programs. With 50,000,000 living BSA alumni nationwide, this program has the potential to bring incredible value to Scouting at all levels of our council through renewed involvement of alumni.  For more information or to join the Alumni Committee, please contact the Council Staff Adviser, Ron Wentzell (630) 797-4615

Just because you no longer wear a Scout uniform doesn't mean you can't still be actively involved with Scouting. There are many ways to be part of BSA programs and activities.  Without millions of volunteers, Scouting programs would not be possible. If you are not yet a volunteer — but are interested in becoming one — there are several ways to get involved. You were part of the first 100 years of Scouting, now join us for the next century.  You can volunteer with the BSA even if you don't have a lot of time to commit. Help supervise a field trip, prepare lunch at a day camp, work at an event registration table, or do any number of small tasks help Scouting in your community.

Volunteer in a Leadership Role - Scout leaders serve in one of the BSA's most important roles. Our Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, and Crew Advisors directly mentor youth and make a difference in the lives of millions.  Please note: The BSA is committed to child safety and ensuring that every youth has a positive experience in Scouting. Before assigning an adult to a leadership position, a background check is required.  Click Here for Youth Protection Youth Leader Training.
