Internet Rechartering
Renew the charter for packs, troops, teams, crews, and ships
Internet Rechartering has become a part of your MyScouting Account. Please click on the MyScouting link below to go to the MyScouting site. After logging in you may access the Internet Rechartering portal. Some individuals are experiencing difficulty with their My Scouting account. If this happens, you may use the Internet Rechartering link as an option to access your charter.
Internet Rechartering is a Web-based software application designed to make the unit charter renewal process more efficient and accurate. The Internet Rechartering tutorial is a step-by-step explanation of how to use the Internet Rechartering system. It includes screen captures and examples. We recommend that users take the tutorial before using Internet Rechartering.
A representative of each unit can now complete the paperwork for renewing a charter online. From Internet Rechartering, you can indicate returning members, add new members, and update information for an individual or the chartered organization.
To renew a charter online
-
Sixty days before your unit's expiration date, select a renewal processor.
-
The renewal processor attends the October roundtables to receive training and the unit access code.
-
Sixty to 45 days before the unit's expiration date, the renewal processor clicks Recharter Now and begins the process.
-
When the online process is completed, the renewal processor prints the completed charter renewal application.
-
The unit leader and the chartered organization representative sign the charter renewal application. Bring the application along with the material you received in your recharter packet (such as the Quality Unit application), and all appropriate fees to your district's charter turn-in meeting.
Recharter Turn-in Parties will be held on different dates for each district.
