The TFC Risk Committee has identified Distracted Driving as a topic that we think addresses driving risks as it applies to leaders and driving age Scouts.   We are posting this link to the TFC web site that will provide useful information regarding this important topic.  The site is a government site and it contains extensive information on this subject as well as updated state laws on restrictions for cell phone use for leaders and driving age Scouts.

Scout leaders have huge responsibilities, among them keeping kids safe. So it’s important to know that a driver is four times as likely to crash if talking on a cell phone while driving, even on hands-free devices, according to the National Safety Council.
